GeoQlik releases version 2.2 for Qlik Sense
Business Geografic has recently released the 2.2 version of their GeoQlik mapping solution for both Qlik Sense Server as well as Qlik Sense Desktop edition. As Qlik’s first global technology partner, Business Geografic and the GeoQlik team have a long history of providing a professional mapping component to the Qlik platform. Here at Aculytics, we’ve been partnered with the GeoQlik team since 2012 and continue to use and deploy the tool as an advanced alternative to the native geospatial capabilities within Qlik Sense.
The 2.2 release is now fully compatible with the June 2017 release for Qlik Sense. Some of the enhancements and fixes include:
Full support in mashups, single configurator, and the QAP
Tooltips now allow display of much larger text blocks or HTML
Enhancements to ease of use for chart interactions
Break fixes to base map interactions
The company also recently released the product roadmap and it includes some exciting new features we here at Aculytics have been looking forward to for some time. Version 3.0, planned for Q3 2017, is slated to include grouping dimensions for pie and bar charts, integrated geoservices (geocoding/isolines), select visible extent functionality as well as a new Natural Break classification method. This is looking like one of the largest functionality releases we’ve seen for the tool.
